Contactless Pick-up Begins
- Beginning June 15, 2020, Memorial Library opens for contactless pick-up and drop-off.
- Patrons can pick-up items and return media
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Wednesday from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- Friday from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
- Patrons can pick-up items and return media
- Books can be returned at any time in our bookdrop. Media must be returned in the designated bin during Pick-up hours.
- Patrons are expected to wear a mask or comparable face covering during this interaction.
- Patrons are unable to enter the building, as per Executive Order.
- Only e-cards can be issued to new borrowers.
- All returned items are put into quarantine for a minimum of 72 hours before being handled (checked-in) and made available for new borrowers.
- Patrons may request ERML library items online, by phone or email.
- These items will be checked out to the patron and the patron will be contacted to reserve a pick-up time.
- Patron notifies the staff upon arrival at the Main Street entrance, where staff will have the items bagged and labeled for "grab and go."
- Beginning July 20, 2020, inter-library loan service is reinstated. Patrons may request any items available through the BCCLS system.
- Virtual programming continues for children and adults.
- Health and safety precautions, including the installation of social distancing signage, sanitizing stations, and shielding at circulation areas, are being taken to ensure compliance with State mandates.

Beginning the week of August 3, 2020, East Rutherford library card holders will be allowed access to library computers and copier.
- Contactless Pick-up continues as outlined in Phase 1.
- Patrons wishing to use the computers or the copier must make an appointment by calling 201-939-3930.
- Computers will be available during Contactless Pick-up hours on the following days:
- Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Wednesday from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- Friday from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
- Saturday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM (beginning October 3)
- Computer use is limited to one 30-minute session per day per patron.
- These reservations are to be made in advance, with the last session to end by the closing time listed above.
- It is the patron's responsibility to be on time for the reserved appointment; extensions cannot be granted.
- Patrons should not arrive more than five minutes prior to set appointment as there is no seating available.
- There will be 15 minutes between reservations to allow for cleaning of the equipment.
- Only the patron using the computer will be allowed entry, unless otherwise pre-approved due to disability or medical necessity.
- Printing will be available. Please plan to have any printing charges added to your library record as we are not accepting cash or coin at this time. Fees and fines can be paid online through the www.Bccls.org website.
- NOTE: Due to social distancing restrictions, staff will be able to provide only minimal technical assistance through the computer's "chat" function.
- These reservations are to be made in advance, with the last session to end by the closing time listed above.
- Individuals experiencing fever/chills/cough or who are not feeling well should stay home and take care.
- Patrons wishing to use the copier must also call ahead to make a reservation.
- Please plan to have any charges added to your library record as we are not accepting cash or coin at this time.

- All patrons must comply with public safety measures while in the building:
- MASKS MUST BE WORN THROUGHOUT YOUR VISIT. If you do not have your own, a disposable mask will be offered before entering the building. If you cannot or will not comply with this restriction, we cannot offer a safe alternative due to the physical layout of the computers and you will not be allowed entry.
- 6-foot social distancing is required.
- Hand sanitizer is available for use and all public computer equipment will be sanitized between users.
- Virtual programming will continue to be offered.

- The number of patrons allowed in the building at one time, whether for browsing, computer/copier use, or for Notary service, will be limited to protect both patrons and staff.
- To minimize patron-to-patron contact, patrons will enter through the Main Street entrance and exit through the Boiling Springs door.
- All patrons entering the building will be required to follow the safety and health protocols outlined in Phase 2.

- Additional computer hours will be extended to include Monday through Saturday during stated hours.
- Notary service will resume by appointment.
- New patrons can obtain library cards. Applications should be created online, with in-person ID and residency verification when card is prepared.
- Virtual programming will continue to be offered for children and adults.
