SPOT Skin Cancer: You Can Prevent It
This health and wellness program is presented by the Bergen County Department of Health Services.
Anyone can get skin cancer, regardless of skin color. It is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.
When detected early, skin cancer is highly treatable.
SPOT Skin Cancer, a program developed by the American Academy of Dermatology, will focus on the dangers of UV ray exposure, types of skin cancer, its prevention by employing sun safety measures, and detection through self-examination.
