Online Payments
Charges placed on your library record - overdue fines, replacement charges, copy/print/fax fees, etc. - can now be paid by credit or debit card online.
All BCCLS libraries accept online payment processed through a secure, encrypted service called SmartPay. You can make your payment from any Internet-connected device.
If you have charges on your record, you will see a “Pay Fines Now” button on your library account page after you log in through the online catalog.
For compliance reasons, no staff member in any BCCLS libraries is allowed to physically accept your credit card or enter your credit card number on your behalf. You must complete the payment transaction yourself through the secure SmartPay website. The payment will appear on your credit card statement as “Bergen County Cooperative Library System.”
NOTE: A 50-cent processing fee is added to each transaction. Transactions are non-reversible.
